For as long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated by art. It has been my favourite subject in school and I could easily spent hours painting and drawing at home. Art is effortless to me and I love the endless possibilities that it offers whether that be colour, shape or composition. I find inspiration anywhere and everywhere, in the innocence of a beautiful baby, in a gothic architecture or in my own imagination.
My work is influenced by both traditional and modern styles. I studied traditional Turkish and Ottoman art at school and some of my work is greatly influenced by oriental styles. I always explore and my work varies greatly in terms of size, medium and style. I especially like working with oils and acrylics and I have done a lot of work in gouache in my earlier years.
Though I never considered myself particularly as a landscape artist, after moving to Kent, painting landscapes and seascapes has become irresistible. Kent never seizes to surprise me with its magnificent and tranquil countryside which is unique and beautiful every season.
